iWild Wepre Park

Wepre Park is a beautiful woodland valley with a mix of diverse habitats. Camera traps had been here breifly for Iolo Williams’ ‘Great Welsh Parks’ series on BBC, revealing badgers – but what did we find?

Of course – those badgers didn’t take long to show themselves… but we also captured plenty of fox activity and even a black rabbit – a first for NatureSpy. Black (or melanistic) rabbits are actually fairly common across the UK, and occur in localised populations.

One fox was also very reluctant to get its feet wet – tip toeing on the stones over Wepre Brook, while another fox further upstream just decided to jump over it instead!

Despite this being a highly popular and well visited park, it still provides very important habitat and space for wild animals.

All events are completely free and there is no need to book – but you can always let us know you’re coming along!
